MHSAA working with MDHHS has developed a winter sports plan. This plan allows us to start outdoor non sports specific conditioning until Saturday January 16th when teams are allowed to start indoor practices. All indoor practices and games require 100% mask wearing. Mask wearing has been defined as a cloth face covering that completely covers the mouth and nose, no face shields.
At this time spectators are not allowed. We are working on streaming our games and will announce the specifics as we get closer to our first game.

First basketball game is home vs Mackinaw City on Friday January 22nd. This is a quadruple header with the JV girls starting at 3:30. Middle School Basketball will start in March.
Reminder that any student that had a valid physical for the 2019-2020 school year can use the MHSAA health questionnaire this year. All other students must still get a physical prior to participating in a practice.
To help keep parents and student athletes informed each team has a Remind account. Coaches will be signing up parents and athletes.
Eligibility will start the first week of February. The first eligibility will be the semester eligibility which requires passing 5 out of 7 classes from the first semester, if they do not meet this minimum requirement they will not be eligible for 60 school days (spring sports). After the initial eligibility, the weekly eligibility will be pulled using the current quarter grades on Tuesday of each week. The eligibility period will be Wednesday through Tuesday. Parents/Guardians will be notified on Tuesday of the ineligible week. (The athlete would be allowed to play on the Tuesday of the eligibility pull if they were eligible the previous week.)
Lastly thank you for your continued support of all of our students and student athletes. This has been and is a very difficult year for everyone. We will continue to promote as much normalcy as we can within the athletic department.
